As an Institute, we are taking the necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety of all our students, faculty and staff. One of the Institute’s strengths is that we have small classes as we accept only 16 students per cohort. With this, we are able to accommodate everyone on our campus and conduct classes with effective scheduling of classes around the campus, as well as making sure all sanitary needs are met.

Our College of Maritime Science Students have been using the NMI training vessels to get valuable, hands-on industry experience. So far this semester, students have had the opportunity to lead and participate in the haul-out and yard maintenance of M/V Navigator, launch and man the L/B Hannah – NMI’s lifeboat, and perform routine maintenance on KEHOE.

Students have also had the opportunity to get out on the 420Es, taking advantage of the warmer weather this fall and the chance to social distance on the water.
